If you are a
provider calling to report a Class A Reportable Infectious Disease during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, please call Liz Svoboda, Chief Epidemiologist at
(216) 664-7499. If you are calling about a Class A Reportable Disease outside of our normal business hours, please call our after-hours line at
(216) 857-7473. For any other matter, please call
(216) 664-2324 during normal business hours.

Class A Reportable Infectious Diseases
Diseases of major public health concern because of the severity of disease or potential for epidemic spread – report immediately via telephone upon recognition that a case, a suspected case, or a positive laboratory result exists. Any unexpected pattern of cases, suspected cases, deaths or increased incidence of any other disease of major public health concern, because of the severity of disease or potential for epidemic spread, which may indicate a newly recognized infectious agent, outbreak, epidemic, related public health hazard or act of bioterrorism.
